Expectations

I said there was none when you asked
 I didn't want you to break a promise - if you were to say in it your words.
 So now I smile because you were true
 To me not having expectations
 When there's nothing to expect
 My tears were just sad but not out of disappointment
 You betrayed no expectations
 I just betrayed myself because I expected
 Despite saying I wouldn't.

Waves of Light

I am a weak person

If someone offers me happiness

I will take their hand

However short lived and fleeting

That at the end of it

I am left pining

Inside this never ending whirlpool.

These feelings I can't express
When you talk
When you breathe
When you move my heart
All within me blooms
Like the flowers I've never come to love
Confidently unleashing their charm
I can't help but smile
I want to pluck you out for my amusement
To express the gratitude I have inside
But I've never cared for flowers
